What do you get when have a food truck and an ice cream bar? An awesome (and easy) birthday party!

I hired John Tew's Burgers Ya Heard food truck to provide delicious gourmet burgers and fries made to order. From the classic cheese burger to the "pho" burger (yes, pho! John captured the savory broth taste of Vietnamese pho in a burger, completed with fresh jalapenos and cilantro), each party guest had fun ordering from the food truck parked in the front of our house! Every order cooked fresh within minutes! When every guest was too full to eat anymore, the truck and mess drove away. Yay!
When it came to having an ice cream bar, I contacted my new local obsession, Drip Affogato Bar. This CBD hot spot caters their beautiful (Instagram-worthy) ice cream creations w/ freshly-brewed espresso. With toppings like caramelized bananas, sliced pistachio, almonds, waffle chips and coco powder, this is not the typical ice cream bar. Drip's owner, Juley Le, personally made sure our guests had plenty to scream about . I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream (and coffee).

I love bright colors. They are classic and fun. I ordered these party plates and mini party hats from www.shopsweetlulu.com. I go-to bakery for delicious cakes is Pure Cake (www.purecakenola.com). My favorite cake flavor is chocolate!
My signature party favor is a beautifully decorated (and delicious) sugar cookie. Leslie Gambino is my one and only "cookie lady". These cookies are so popular with my friends and family but I have been known to hide some for myself for fear of running out. Of course, one friend has caught on to this habit of mine. He usually ends up finding my secret stash and eats the cookies himself!
None of my parties is complete without a photo op. I made this simple backdrop by hanging bright paper lanterns from Oriental Trading. I ordered these cute acrylic letters from www.shopsweetlulu.com to make the banner. Just stike a pose and snap! Instant memories.
